Anyone order the heart pepp? A cute slice of pizza with heart shaped pepperoni I created for "Barbie Dream Besties." Mattel launched a new line of Barbies in 2024, and that came with a new look for a slightly older audience. The original reference image I was given came from the toy. But in order for this prop to better match the art style of the show, my awesome Art Director recommended a more realistic texture. This is probably my favorite asset I have ever made because it is so cute and so versatile. We have the slice, a whole pizza, and variations of how many slices get eaten. It gets a lot of screen time with Renee, but hopefully we will see even more of it soon! Special shoutout to Pancake the guinea pig who makes me weep with joy when I watch her eat a lil' slice.
